In Honor & Memory of Our Service Men & Women Racing in The Nation's Triathlon
Author: Kristen Avioli Date: 08/04/2011 Category: The Nation's Triathlon Tags: The Nation's Triathlon, Gryphon Technologies Military Challenge, Race-within-a-Race, First Responder's Challenge 2011 marks the 4th year that The Nation’s Triathlon has offered the Military Challenge, which provides the opportunity for active duty and veteran service members to compete against each other. All challenge participants can compete as singles or teams, and will compete in their age group waves. The top challenge participants and teams will be recognized at the conclusion of the race in their own category. That first year, 200 competitors finished the race. Today, just four years later, we are proud to announce that over 600 active and veteran service members have signed up to compete in the 2011 Gryphon Technologies Military Challenge. Athletes from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Army Reserves, Coast Guard, Marines, and National Guard are all represented. Registration is open until Monday August 8th for the Military and First Responder Challenges so there is still time to get signed up.
